However, starvation and death couldnt prepare him for the worst trial yet to come: his brothers ultimate betrayal. All Hans Haiges wanted was to become a successful farmer.

However, fate had a very different path for this young German boy. His journey would test him time and time again and would tug on the very depths of his soul. In 1945, as Berlin and nearby communities crumble, Hanss family must try to survive the aftermath of a war-torn country.
